Only one month after production start, HÅG Capisco Puls has received the international prestigious iF Product Design Award 2011 in the category for office furniture. The iF Product Design Award has since 1953 been widely recognized as a label for exceptional and innovative design, and therefore gives the newly launched chair by HÅG and Scandinavian Business Seating an international breakthrough.
The iF Product Design Award covers all areas of product design and gives recognition to innovative and excellent product design. The award serves as a platform for design-relevant innovations, and has been a driving force and leading communicator in the design community. The iF jury, consisting of famous designers from around the world, had to decide between 2700 participants in this category.
Born out of the legendary “saddle chair” and designed by Peter Opsvik, HÅG Capisco Puls represents a new generation, attuned to the contemporary and dynamic workplace. HÅG Capisco Puls’ new sleek and light shape, reflects an evolution in form, function and usability. “We are pleased and proud to have won the iF Product Design Award 2011. This award is a proof of the commitment HÅG has to constantly be in the forefront of innovation when it comes to design and usability,” says CEO Lars I Røiri. “The enthusiasm and attention that HÅG Capisco Puls has received within the first month of production has exceeded all expectations” he continues. “The fact that the chair only has been in production for one month makes it especially satisfying to receive such international recognition”.
The award ceremony will take place in Hannover March 2011.
